This week went by really fast and all is going on as
normal here. I am trying to make the most of the month that I have left here in
Dajabon. As always this week we had a tough time finding enough people to teach
but the people that we are teaching did progress significantly. Victor is
doing well and has an official baptismal date for the 28th of January so we are
preparing ourselves for that. We are in the process of finishing the
lessons and planning out his wedding and such so things are going well there.
It has been super cool to see him change and especially to make the
decision to get married and baptized because he was very against the idea of
getting married just a few weeks ago. We also have a really cool couple that we
are teaching and they have been progressing really well and the members have
been helping us with them. As I have said before, it has been hard to
find people that have any interest in this area but little by little we
will keep moving forward. We are having a bit more success with the
members and the elders quorum president and the relief society president are
starting to help us out more and become a bit more involved in the process of
helping the members. We are going to keep working and see what we can do
to have success here.
I love and miss everyone in the family. I hope
that you can be comforted in the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation and help
those of the family and friends of Troy that are not quite so sure about where
he is, to understand it. It was good to talk to him a bit on Christmas
Day and I’m very grateful that we were able to talk that one last time. I
hope that all goes well and that you can all be strong and united as a family
during this time.
