Well the DR is good! It has been very hot this
week and my tan lines are getting worse haha. I look kind of funny with a
t-shirt on due to my neck tan line and It has been a sweaty week for sure but a
good week. We did find some really cool people to teach this week.
On Friday we spent the whole day in Monte Cristi because I had to do 5
baptismal interviews that day, so that was a cool day to meet all those people
from the missionaries over there that were baptized this last Saturday. This
Sunday was also one of the best of my time here in Dajabon. We had a lot of
less actives show up due to an activity that we did on Thursday. One of them
was a guy named Percio who have been inactive for over 10 years. His wife
always went and he never wanted to go but he had a big change of heart during
the activity that we did and he realized that he needed to become active again.
I never thought that I would see him at church, so I was very happy when
he showed up. We also had one of our investigators that we have worked really
hard with go to church. It was the first time that he had ever gone but he
liked it a lot and he has accepted a baptismal date. He is someone who
genuinely wants to change his life so it has been cool to work with him.
We are also teaching a young couple that I believe will end up getting
baptized, they were not able to make it to church yesterday but we are going to
teach them tonight and see if we can commit them to get baptized. I will find
out tonight whether or not I am staying in Dajabon. I pretty much have already
told everyone goodbye but I guess we will have to wait and see. My comp
and I make the same food every single day-rice with canned vegetables and
beans.
Tell all the family I love them!
