Yeah we are working our hardest to find some progress
and have things work out well here. As always we have been contacting a lot and
always searching for more people to teach. The other day we had a lesson with a
family that we had contacted about a week before and they may be the family
that I have been searching for my entire mission. It was one of the very
few times in my mission that without even having to ask, the whole family sat
down and listened. On Thursday we taught Americo´s wife and kids and it
went really well. The biggest issue there is that he works a lot including on
Sunday morning. Both Americo and his kids seem pretty pumped about the church
though. Other than that we have been able to see a little bit of progress in
our other people and are doing our best to help them understand things. It has
been raining a lot more and so it has not been very hot lately which is good.
Here in Dajabon the rain has not done too much damage. In other parts of
the country it has hit really hard. One of my good mission friends is in
Santiago and some people have died in his area and in some spots the flooding
has been more than 10 feet deep. No need to worry though, out here in Dajabon
all has been chill. Today we went to go take pictures of the more guarded
bridge between Haiti and the DR. We were just going to take pictures from
outside but the guards invited us to go down onto the actual bridge. As you
will see they even took pictures with us. It was pretty cool. It is kind of
crazy how big of a difference there is on the DR side of the river and the
Haitian side. You can easily see that it is much more poor and deprived on the
other side. We are working hard as always and trying our best to have
success and find the people that have been prepared to receive the gospel. I
love you lots! Make sure to send my love to everyone down there in Vegas,
especially Troy.
